WHO ARE WE?
Sessions is building the operating model for the future of restaurants, giving consumers instant access to the brands they love, wherever they live. The distribution engine runs through 400+ delivery kitchens and 16 high‑street restaurants across the UK. Founded in 2020 and led by former Deliveroo MD Dan Warne, Sessions has grown 7x in three years. Our platform has processed over 5 million orders and reaches 60% of the UK population. The team brings experience from Deliveroo, Amazon and Gousto. We scale brands at a pace that redefines what's possible in food; for example, Miko’s Gyros launched to 100+ live sites in under two months and SoBe Burger is live in over 200 delivery locations and has opened 15 physical high‑street stores.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a growth role with three interconnected responsibilities:
- Owning commercial targets for a small portfolio of brands.
- Enhancing the AI tooling used by the growth team.
- Progressively leading performance marketing.
You will work in weekly sprints embedded in the operating rhythm, close to both the consumer and the numbers.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Your brands – own a small portfolio end‑to‑end, carry their commercial targets (GMV, margin, growth), ship experiments weekly and launch new products.
- The growth‑tech stack – be the sharpest user and product owner of the AI tools (Growth Assistant, Split Solve, etc.), specify improvements and help build them.
- Performance marketing (over time) – take paid and performance marketing strategy to the next level, managing strategy, budget allocation and targeting.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Carry commercial targets for a small portfolio of brands and plan to hit them.
- Run brands through the weekly Brand Performance sprint: analyse data, reviews and competitor menus, identify opportunities and ship changes.
- Own the menu experience end‑to‑end: structure, item naming, descriptions, imagery briefs, pricing architecture and promotional mechanics.
- Drive retention by mapping the journey from first order to habit, identifying customer jobs and shipping product/experience changes that lift reorder rates.
- Maintain a live testing backlog of hypotheses and report results each week.
- Be a power user and product owner of the AI tools, spot gaps, specify improvements and help build them.
- Introduce new tools and workflows to increase team leverage and onboard the rest of the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree from a top‑tier university.
- 1–5 years in growth, brand, performance marketing or consumer insight, preferably in a startup, QSR, FMCG or marketplace/platform business.
- Proven track record of shipping outcomes, not just strategy.
- Strong consumer instincts backed by data; ability to explain why customers behave the way they do.
- AI‑native: use AI tools daily and excited to improve them; bonus for hands‑on prompt/coding skills.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and dashboards; numerate and ownership of numbers.
- Works well in sprints and fast feedback loops; not a quarterly‑planning role.
- Familiar with jobs‑to‑be‑done or similar frameworks for customer insights.
- Clear, concise communicator who can turn messy insight into a sharp brief or recommendation.
- Curious about food trends and competitive dynamics; bonus if experience with aggregator marketplaces.
- Expert‑level English and right to work in the UK.
BENEFITS & PERKS
- Financial: Share options, pay‑day on demand, expense card, financial wellbeing platform.
- Wellbeing: Hybrid working up to 2 remote days, 25 days + bank holidays + birthday off, healthcare, employee assistance programme, monthly socials, dog‑friendly office, casual dress code.
- Technology: Apple Mac laptop, Apple iPhone with company SIM.
- Progression & Development: High‑growth startup with responsibility from day 1, learning from large consumer companies, support for qualifications and memberships.
