About the Role
Role summary: As a Trainer, you are the guardian of brand excellence for our delivery portfolio. You play a pivotal role in onboarding partner kitchens, ensuring that every dish served via platforms like Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Uber Eats meets our exacting standards. This is a high-impact, mobile role where you will:
- Master the Menu: Travel to partner sites to provide hands-on training to external culinary teams, ensuring recipe precision and brand consistency.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Audit partner kitchens for suitability and performance, maintaining the high quality that defines the Sessions name.
- Bridge Food & Tech: Empower partners by training them on our proprietary Sessions Serve technology and delivery best practices to drive commercial success.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you are the face of Sessions on the frontline of our culinary collaborations.
What will you do?
- You will frequently travel across the UK to reach partner locations.
- You’ll be working across several brands and cuisines.
- You will onboard and launch our brands into the kitchens of our 3rd party host partners.
- You will deliver brand training sessions to the kitchen teams as well as follow up training where needed.
- You’ll train on not just the food, but the technology as well and help hosts understand the success metrics.
- You will also audit kitchens against their target operational metrics.
- You’ll work very closely with other internal stakeholders such as the sales team.
- You’ll measure the capacity and capability of partner kitchens.
- Support with creation of COGS, playbooks, par levels and supply chain sourcing when required.
- Ensure food is prepared to the highest standard and in line with brand specifications.
- Manage when required – purchasing, delivery and stock to ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for both training and launch of brands.
- To understand and comply with statutory health, hygiene, safety, quality standards and more such as COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with these standards.
- To support the sessions operations and wider teams where required such as Franchise openings.
Requirements
- Strong personable skills – ability to build positive working relationships quickly.
- 4+ years’ experience in a senior chef role managing a team.
- Enjoyment in travelling across the country for work regularly.
- Previous experience and confidence in training people.
- Experience with multiple food concepts and cuisines.
- A role model in delivering food quality and hygiene standards.
- Dark kitchen and virtual brand experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience producing food for delivery platforms such as Deliveroo.
- Commercial & technological acumen.
- Knowledge of all health and safety and food safety, preferably to level 3.
- Charismatic and energetic with a passion for food.
- Expert level of English language.
- Right to work in the UK.
