About the role:

As Head of Editorial Content, you partner closely with the SVP, Global Brand & Marketing to define and lead Audio Network's global editorial strategy, bringing our music, artists and composers to life through compelling storytelling. Working across multiple markets and channels, you'll ensure our content strengthens brand awareness, deepens customer engagement and supports commercial growth. This is a highly influential role that sits at the intersection of music, creativity, marketing and business performance.

What you'll do:

  • Help develop a distinctive global editorial strategy that puts music, artists and composers at the heart of Audio Network's brand storytelling while ensuring content is purposeful, commercially relevant, culturally aware and focused on driving interest in Audio Network.
  • Lead editorial planning across global owned channels, campaign content and other digital touchpoints, ensuring each channel has a clear role, audience purpose, editorial cadence and performance expectation across regions.
  • Drive annual, quarterly and campaign-level editorial planning, balancing global music-led themes, releases, playlists, cultural moments and composer stories with regional priorities, customer needs and prospecting opportunities.
  • Work closely with Audio Network artists, composers and the Music team to uncover stories, perspectives and creative insights that can be shaped into compelling, differentiating editorial content with a clear audience and channel purpose.
  • Create and curate editorial formats that showcase Audio Network's catalogue, artists and composers in ways that inspire customers, support discovery, differentiate the brand and encourage deeper engagement with Audio Network.
  • Ensure owned-channel content supports the customer journey by moving audiences from awareness and interest through to consideration, enquiry and prospecting activity.
  • Use anecdotal insight, search data, CRM performance, social analytics and campaign reporting to shape content decisions, improve engagement, strengthen conversion signals and identify opportunities for music-led storytelling.
  • Partner with the wider Marketing, Music, Product and Sales teams to align editorial output with business priorities, customer needs and demand-generation activity.
  • Partner with Product to develop messaging and storytelling frameworks that communicate new platform capabilities and support customer adoption.
  • Build a strong feedback loop with local and regional teams, using market insight, customer feedback and sales input to shape editorial priorities, identify regional opportunities and ensure global content remains relevant and useful in-market.
  • Help define and maintain editorial workflows, approval processes and quality control standards that support effective collaboration with artists, composers, internal teams and external contributors.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, audience-focused, inclusive, legally appropriate and aligned with brand guidelines, rights considerations, music industry context, channel best practice and regional nuance.
  • Identify cultural, music, industry, customer and audience trends across regions that can inform timely, distinctive and commercially useful editorial ideas.
  • Work with the Content Editor and Senior Creative Producer to ensure content investment is best placed on commissioning, creative and freelancer support to meet the objectives of the content strategy.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience leading editorial, content or brand storytelling for a global brand, media, creative or entertainment business.
  • Strong understanding of the music industry and a genuine passion for artists, composer and the creative process.
  • A track record of developing editorial strategies that build brands, engage audiences and support commercial growth.
  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills with an instinct for finding stories others miss.
  • Hands-on experience across owned channels including social media, CRM, blogs, websites and SEO.
  • Experience building editorial calendars, governance and workflows.
  • Confidence working with creative teams, producers and subject matter experts to turn complex ideas into compelling stories.
  • Experience using audience insight, search data and performance analytics to shape editorial decisions.
