We are actively seeking a Project Manager to support UK programmes for project management activities. This role will ensure that project management deliverables are executed and understood to meet contractual requirements, industry standards, and company expectations. The position involves working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Legal, Service Delivery and business teams to ensure timely delivery whilst maintaining quality, mitigate risks, and drive delivery across the UK projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads the project management outputs for UK programmes, interfacing with cross-functional matrixed organisations engaged in delivery of the multiple programmes to provide project management experience and knowledge required for UK Programmes.
- Responsible for managing project control deliverables of all projects: schedules, risk registers, cost to complete, PM plans, reporting etc.
- Collaborate harmoniously internally and with customers and partners to align priorities, drive accountability, and resolve blockers.
- Provides oversight of project management outputs for all projects within UK programmes, ensuring projects are delivered to required needs and specifications of UK programmes.
- Works with UK programmes internal and external teams to achieve performance and conformance within the UK programmes area.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business or related field.
- 5 years of experience in project management, defence, and operations.
- Knowledge of accredited project management practice e.g. APM, PRINCE2.
- Experience with defence contracts, governance, and transition projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Service Delivery, Service Operations, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Valid UK Security Clearance required.
Preferable competencies
- Experience with ISO standards, DEFCONs, DEFSTANs and JSPs.
- Familiarity with various project management tools, such as Jira, MS Project, Miro and Azure.
- Knowledge of EVM and SRA.
- Technical knowledge of SATCOM systems and operations.
- A willingness to take ownership of a situation and lead commercial discussions with cross disciplinary teams with multiple priorities.
