Bromley Healthcare – Care at Home is recruiting caregivers to provide domiciliary care to service users in their day‐to‐day lives, enabling them to live more fulfilling lives whilst helping them remain in their own home by providing high‐quality person‐centred care. Roles are based in BR6 (Bromley) and DA5, DA14 & DA15 (Bexley). Full‐time and part‐time opportunities are available, and we are open to different shift patterns including evenings, weekends and childcare‐friendly schedules.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide high‐quality person‐centred care to service users in their homes in accordance with their support plan.
  • Perform personal care duties such as washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication monitoring and/or assistance with these activities.
  • Administer medications.
  • Shopping and meal preparation support.
  • Support with domestic, daily living tasks including cleaning.
  • Help service users access the community, socialise and undertake leisure activities.
  • Manual handling and use of equipment where required.
  • Promote service users' health and wellbeing, independence and enable them to live their life to the fullest.
  • Be flexible to work a range of shift patterns, including alternate weekends.
  • Maintain appropriate records to meet the needs of the service, observing and promptly reporting changes or concerns in service‐user circumstances or condition.
  • Treat service users with dignity and respect, communicating effectively to meet their diverse needs.

  • The post holder will be trained to safeguard children, young people and adults at risk.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or willingness to work towards a Diploma in Health and Social Care (desirable).

Training: Willingness to participate in training relevant for this post, including the Care Certificate (essential).

  • Excellent listening skills and an ability to build rapport with people (essential).

Full, clean Driving Licence: Desirable.

Information Technology: IT Literate – Essential. Experience of using electronic recording systems – Desirable. Experience of using electronic rostering systems – Desirable.

Experience

  • Essential: Previous experience working within a care environment. Ability to use own initiative. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to learn new skills and gain new experience.
  • Desirable: Caring for family or friend. Full clean driving licence. Experience of using electronic recording systems.
