We have an opportunity for an Offsite Solutions Manager to work with SES Engineering Services (SES) and Wates businesses through collaboration, integrated working, and engineering excellence to enable OSM solutions at our off-site production facility in Coventry. As Solutions Manager, you will be accountable for the integration of M&E offsite solutions for various regional projects, managing design, engineering, and procurement.
SES is the UK’s leading design-led Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) provider, specializing in the design and installation of building services and infrastructure solutions.
About The Role
SES delivers bespoke, design-led, cost-efficient solutions optimized for the entire construction team by maximizing off-site manufacture, minimizing onsite resources, and ensuring quality and customer satisfaction through measurable, safe processes.
As Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for the integration of M&E offsite solutions across all projects in your region.
Design/BIM Management
- Define scope, responsibilities, program, deliverables, and model reviews in collaboration with the OSM BIM Team & SES digital engineering resources.
- Embrace innovation with VR/AR, Virtual Factory, and value-engineered design solutions.
- Contribute to installation and logistics planning.
- Complete the OSM Service Agreement and Workbook before manufacturing orders are accepted.
- Collaborate with project teams on engineering aspects.
- Develop the Prism / SES Manufacturing Product Portfolio and R&D initiatives.
- Improve the Prism / SES Manufacturing Operating Framework.
- Attend design team meetings and oversee drawing and document control.
SHE Management
- Address CDM obligations and contribute to safety-focused design initiatives.
Work Winning
- Own the Offsite Strategy for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with regional teams and external clients to develop OSM strategies for bids and projects.
- Serve as the technical authority for bids and projects.
- Contribute to bid themes and market development.
- Participate in bid launch and settlement events.
- Assist estimating with project costings.
Candidate Profile
Practical experience with OSM, estimating, design, and BIM is preferred, along with a Building Services Mechanical qualification (HNC or equivalent). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MOSAIC, or similar production control systems, and strong communication skills are essential.
