To work within the Engineering Projects team to deliver and provide project management and engineering for new build projects. Overall responsibility for delivery of allocated engineering projects, including compilation of quotations, project kick-off, project execution, delivery and close out.
Act as client point of contact for allocated projects, address all technical queries, provide progress reporting as required, and use technical and product knowledge to identify any upselling opportunities.
Provide engineering support to designers to ensure optimal package design in line with client requirements and project specifications. Manage, monitor, control and report all project costs, ensuring timely invoicing of project milestones. Create and submit Management of Change (MoC) variations to cover any deviations from agreed project scope of supply in accordance with CIU MoC procedure.
Develop and update production schedule for allocated project/scope on an ongoing basis, monitoring progress and providing regular updates to Engineering Projects Manager and Client. Create all relevant project documentation, monitor document returns, and revise and return in accordance with client mark-ups and timelines.
Checking of all documentation and drawings produced by CIU Project Engineers and Designers prior to approval and issue to client. Manage all 3rd party vendors associated with given project. Creation and issue of Permit to Work (PTW) as necessary. Provide support to on/offshore personnel as requested at all project/scope stages. Coordinate with internal support functions for procurement, workshop, stores and logistical support. Raise requisitions in line with Company procurement process for materials and transport. Production of procedures and other relevant documentation relating to the operation, maintenance and handling of CIU products where applicable.
Key results:
- Delivery of CIU engineering projects ensuring compliance with relevant specifications, within agreed budget and schedule.
- Generation of all project deliverables to the highest possible quality standard.
Mandatory Training Requirements / Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline an advantage.
- Full lifecycle, multi-disciplinary project delivery / Project Management experience in similar sector or industry.
- Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Process design, E&I, steel fabrication and small bore tubing advantageous.
- Previous relevant engineering experience.
- Extensive use of AutoCAD software.
