Medical Information Requests

  • To deliver field‑based medical information services.
  • To respond to medical‑information requests in line with the ABPI Code of Practice and internal SOP.
  • To maintain adequate audit‑trailed records of enquiry requests and responses.
  • To identify frequently asked medical enquiry questions, prepare appropriate presentations and obtain the appropriate internal approval before the delivery of this response to a healthcare professional.
  • To effectively collaborate and support all colleagues of the medical‑information team to ensure fair, balanced and accurate responses are provided to enquiries within a timely manner.

Non‑interventional Phase IV Studies, ISSs & Data Generation

  • To be involved in the setup, delivery and ongoing management of UK‑led Phase IV and non‑interventional studies.
  • To support the process for Investigator‑Initiated Study requests in line with the company SOP.
  • To comply with international and UK SOP’s relating to clinical research.

Adverse Reactions (Spontaneous reports)

  • To recognise, record and report potential adverse reactions that arise out of a medical enquiry in line with agreed company procedures.

Non‑promotional Exchange of Medical and Scientific Information

  • The mapping and validation of KOLs in line with Servier UK Standard Operating Procedures.
  • To support the legitimate exchange of scientific and medical information with health professionals, including TAE as prioritised, through the organisation of 1:1 visits.
  • This may include advance notification of new products and introductory disease‑management meetings when working in new therapy areas as set out in Clause 3 of ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Provides valuable scientific insights to the medical affairs department, that can subsequently be shared with internal CFTs in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Support the set‑up and delivery of regional advisory boards as indicated by Medical Affairs strategy when requested.

Professional Relations

  • To maintain a high level of scientific, clinical and environmental knowledge through courses, self‑initiated learning and attendance at appropriate meetings/congresses.
  • To maintain a high level of understanding of the healthcare environment within key accounts from where requests are originating.
  • To maintain personal awareness and up‑to‑date knowledge of implications for the Company of laws and regulations relating to medical information services in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In all matters and at all times, to work to the highest scientific and ethical standards.

Fieldforce Training and Development

  • To liaise with relevant managers to identify and implement a strategy for the training of the field force where required.
  • To run training sessions for the field force on relevant medical and scientific topics at conferences and national cycle briefs as appropriate.

Delivery of Request for Support (including Grants & Donations)

  • To work with healthcare professionals, organisation and patient groups (supporting Patient Affairs Manager as requested) in identifying and delivering appropriate non‑promotional services to medicine including disease awareness and medical education.

Other

  • To undertake any other tasks/projects as requested by the MSLM.
  • To always monitor current processes and identify ways to improve these processes and systems.
  • Provide cover during absences/holidays for departmental colleagues.
