The Service Delivery Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Redditch. This role is responsible for delivering and supporting communications solutions, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of radio, networking, video, and security systems. Day-to-day tasks include resolving technical incidents, performing diagnostics, and providing hands-on troubleshooting to ensure uptime and performance across customer sites. The Service Delivery Engineer collaborates with project managers and other technical teams to implement service changes, manage escalations, and maintain service-level commitments. The role also involves documenting work, updating service records, and communicating clearly with customers to ensure transparent, reliable service delivery.
What you'll bring
- An interest in troubleshooting and technical support for communications or IT systems.
- Some exposure to service delivery or IT service management concepts (e.g. incident/request handling) is helpful, though full ITSM experience isn't required.
- A basic understanding of networking (IP networks, routing, switching) or RF concepts is an advantage, but not essential β training will be provided.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to work with colleagues and customers directly.
- Any hands-on experience with installation or maintenance of communications equipment, CCTV, radios, or related infrastructure is a plus; certifications such as CompTIA Network+, ITIL, or vendor-specific qualifications are beneficial but not compulsory.
- A methodical, organised approach to documentation and site work, with a full UK driving licence where required for site visits.
