At ServiceTrade, you’ll build technology that matters — for your career, your team, and the thousands of commercial contractors who rely on our platform every day. We’re on a mission to partner with commercial trades to deliver technology that enhances technician productivity, improves customer experiences, and drives scalable growth. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative who’s excited to make an impact. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with prospects to introduce ServiceTrade’s solution. You will learn how to prospect, qualify business problems, communicate value, and create opportunities for our sales team—all while selling a product built specifically for commercial service contractors.

Why ServiceTrade: You’ll belong here from the start. We bring together kind, curious people with diverse perspectives and trust them with meaningful work. You’ll have ownership, clarity, and support to solve real problems, make a visible impact for our customers, and continue growing as your role evolves. On the Revenue team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a company that is selling a category-leading product to a customer base that really enjoys using it. The easiest way to be successful in a sales career is to sell a product that you believe truly helps your customer increase the value of their business. That is what we do at ServiceTrade. This role is designed as an entry point into a SaaS sales career. Successful BDRs can build toward Senior BDR, Account Executive, or other GTM opportunities based on performance and business need.

About You: We are looking for smart, competitive, career-oriented professionals who want to impact the growth of our business and of our customers. A natural curiosity, intelligence, grit and focus on learning and improving day over day is required. While previous sales experience can be helpful, we’re more interested in your potential, drive, and willingness to learn. We’ll provide training and continuous professional development to make sales your career. This is a great introduction to the initial steps of a full sales cycle.

Office Environment: This is a hybrid position, with our BDR team working together in-office Tuesday through Thursday for live coaching, call reviews, prospecting sessions, and collaboration with sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Source, identify and develop new opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and social media.
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging.
  • Educate and inform potential customers of the value and ROI that our platform provides by demonstrating a strong understanding of our target market, industry knowledge, and value proposition.
  • Qualify potential leads and book appointments for software demonstrations for our Account Executives.
  • Ensure successful handoffs to our Sales teams.
  • Meet monthly activity goals for calls and bookings as defined by sales leadership.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience: Previous sales, customer-facing, or goal-oriented experience is a plus, but not required. We’re looking for candidates who are motivated to learn, comfortable working toward measurable goals, and excited to build a career in sales.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills include positive and energetic phone skills, excellent written and oral communication.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated experience in a sales or goal-oriented environment, with a track record of working toward measurable goals, meeting performance metrics, and being motivated by results.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Work Ethic: Proven history of showing up, being dedicated, hitting deadlines, and continuous improvement.
