Salary: £23,636.76 to £30,351.38 FTE per annum (pro rata for part time)

Overview
Services For Education Music Service is a growing children’s charity in Birmingham that uses the power of learning and music to improve the lives of children and communities. We are looking for enthusiastic keyboard/piano teachers who are passionate about inspiring and nurturing musical talent across a diverse range of school settings, including Early Years Foundation Stage, primary, special, secondary, and alternative settings in approximately 450 schools.
Responsibilities
- Deliver music instruction to students through small group and 1:1 lessons, whole‑class instrumental teaching, and ensemble direction at beginner to advanced levels.
- Support learners with additional needs and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the growth of the music education sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience teaching keyboard/piano in small groups, 1:1 and whole‑class settings.
- Experience leading ensembles from beginner to advanced levels.
- Ability to work effectively with children with additional needs, including dyslexia, learning difficulties, and autism spectrum conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
