As a member of the Solution Consulting team supporting the Energy and Utilities group, you will guide technical strategy for large energy customers. This is a hands-on technical consulting role that requires the ability to both broaden and deepen solution delivery and positioning during sales cycles.
What You Get To Do In This Role
- The Solution Consultant is a technical advisor who develops, positions, and provides product-specific solutions during sales cycles while aiming to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals for an assigned territory.
- Support product sales as a technical and domain expert on a client-facing sales team.
- Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and demonstrate how our solution meets their needs.
- Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, channel partners, and ServiceNow colleagues.
- Guide strategic programs in top accounts, including customer journey sessions for roadmap and outcome agreements.
- Provide feedback to product management about enhancements to address customer needs and drive additional value.
- Share best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to improve team quality and efficiency.
- Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
- Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including AI-powered tools or automating workflows.
- 5+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience.
- Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform or technical expertise with cloud software solutions.
- Experience collaborating with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services.
- Territory management skills, including pipeline building and coordinating with Sales to drive execution.
- Willingness to travel.
