About the role

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for generating new business revenue through the sale of Software as a Service (SaaS) licenses specifically tailored for the National Health Service (NHS). This role requires strategic planning of your sales territory, identifying potential clients, and executing field-based sales initiatives to achieve ambitious growth objectives.

What you'll do

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with high-level executives, including Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Operating Officers (COOs), and Chief Digital Officers (CDOs).
  • Lead a virtual team of professionals, including Solutions Consultants, Solutions Specialists, Success resources, Partners, and Marketing personnel, to drive sales initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary consultant for clients, ensuring that ServiceNow's offerings are aligned with their specific IT strategies and objectives.
  • Organise and coordinate internal resources to guarantee that the appropriate expertise is involved at every phase of the sales process.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans that outline the approach to engaging with key stakeholders within the NHS.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of ServiceNow solutions to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with both client expectations and company policies.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that resonate with the NHS audience.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on client interactions to help shape future offerings.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software or solutions sales, with a strong emphasis on SaaS.
  • A proven history of achieving sales targets and successfully closing new business deals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing relationships with C-level executives and negotiating intricate contracts.
  • Experience with integrating artificial intelligence into business processes, enhancing decision-making, or solving complex problems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • A solid understanding of IT strategy, with the capability to connect overarching technology goals to the specific needs of customers.

  • Familiarity with the healthcare sector, particularly the NHS, and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a technology or software company.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and data security issues relevant to the healthcare industry.
