Location: Northampton, MA - Cases in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire Counties

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 Hours daily, between 10AM-6PM with flexibility to best meet case load needs, adjusting hours as needed.

Intensive Flexible Family Support services outreach are made available in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire Counties. ServiceNet, a leading Human Services agency, is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

As an IFFS Specialist you support children with Autism and their Families in community and home-based settings assigned to our IFFS Program by the Massachusetts Department of Development Services (DDS).

What is IFFS? It is our program for Intensive Flexible Family Supports that assists children ages 3 - 18 whose communication and behaviour challenges make it difficult for the family to provide care, along with other co-occurring circumstances that present unusual challenges where information, support, advice and direction is valuable to the family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of teams that provide outreach support to children with autism and their families in home based and community settings.
  • Invest time with the children and their families helping to identify needs and engage supports.
  • Help implement supports for the child and family and track the results achieved.
  • Be an advising intermediary to requisition additional supports, educate other providers on working with the child and family.
  • Help apply for, access and use funding as required for supports and services that will benefit the child and family.
  • Track and report all expenditures to funding sources.
  • Help Children and families transition into subsequent programs and assistance that meet their next level of needs.
  • Assist / Advise in Day to day problem solving.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or education equivalent to a 4-year college degree.
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Knowledge of autism and treatments.
  • Over 1 year supporting children with autism in family home settings.
  • Vehicle, valid driver's license and motor vehicle record required.
