Restoration Technician Location: WV-St Albans-25177 Post Date: 05-30-23

We are a full service restoration company specifically looking for restoration technicians with water, fire, and mold certifications. Xactimate experience is a plus. We handle all forms of mitigation and fully rebuild whatever is necessary, from the foundation to the roof.

Responsibilities:

• Basic math skills to perform calculations while measuring on job sites and to help the surveying crew.
• Mechanical skills to use any necessary heavy machinery and equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy labour, such as moving materials.
• Physical stamina to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read or understand instructions and blueprints.
• Effective time management skills.
• Understanding of building codes, safety protocols, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass DOT physical requirements.
• May be required to have a DOT certification to operate certain vehicles.
• Restoration experience is preferred, but not required.

Special Position Requirements:

• Must be available for emergency work after hours and on weekends including on call shifts.
• Must be willing to travel locally, as business needs dictate.
• Due to the nature of work, the job sites will often be dirty, possibly cold or wet, and sometimes unsanitary. Every effort is made to protect our employees through the use of PPE and other safety precautions.
• Must pass a "fit test" for proper fit of a respirator (which could involve the shaving of facial hair).
• All technicians' attire must meet OSHA requirements for the specific job sites. A technician must wear company approved attire.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50lbs. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, and kneeling.
