The Role/Candidate

Due to growth, we are looking to recruit and train an individual to become a Service Engineer within BID Group. The ideal candidate will start as a Trainee Service Engineer working alongside our current Service Engineer with the view to progress into the lead role (Timescales differ for each person).

The role will include assisting in the servicing and fault diagnosis of industrial doors and associated products:

  • Industrial sectional overhead doors
  • High speed/rapid roll doors
  • Industrial roller shutters
  • Fire shutters and doors
  • Folding and sliding doors
  • Steel security doors
  • Dock levellers/loading bays
  • Automatic doors

Previous industrial door experience is not essential, since full training and career progression will be available. A CSCS card, PASMA and IPAF qualifications would be an advantage.
