We are a team of some 18 staff, a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. This position will be based with our Hospitals North Adult team and provide assessment and treatment to adult inpatient and outpatients. And you’ll get to do this alongside highly accomplished Speechies with national and international experience to share, all while making a difference to the lives of a diverse and inclusive community.

The role

Provide professional assessment and treatments to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.

Duties may be directed to our inpatient or outpatient services on consideration of the successful applicants\\\’ skills and attributes.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, part time, day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing 28 September 2025, for a period of 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $73,834 – $111,364 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Benefits available to eligible candidates

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia
  • Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia or where regulatory requirements exist NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements
  • Full member of Speech Pathology Australia
