Senior Speech Pathologist, Adult Services (permanent part-time)

Are you an experienced or aspiring Senior Speech Pathologist looking for an exciting opportunity? Weβre seeking a skilled clinician to join our Adult Speech Pathology team at the Launceston General Hospital, Tasmania.
We are open to a range of skills and experiences in all areas of adult services; evidence of your competence or an interest in attaining competence in Vid eofluoroscopy Swallow Study (VFSS), Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) or tracheostomy management will be highly regarded. Your ongoing learning will be supported through a generous Professional Development (PD) budget, paid travel expenses to attend interstate PD events, active clinical supervision and peer support programs.
In this role, you\’ll become a part of our leadership team. You\’ll mentor and support your peers, junior staff, and students from the University of Tasmania\’s Masters of Speech Pathology program.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker, 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. This selection process may be used for future similar vacancies for twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $110,425 – $121,907 per annum pro rata. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
Youβll have access to salary packaging and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other benefits if eligible.
Allowances:
- Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
- Travel and relocation assistance up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
- Professional development and accelerated pathways.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia
- Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements
- Full member of Speech Pathology Australia
