The Intensive Care Unit within the LGH is an 11 bed dynamic medical/surgical unit that prides itself on delivering excellence in health care and improving outcomes for our workforce and the Tasmanian community.

The Registered Nurse supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care to critically ill patients. Working under the guidance of senior nurses and the multidisciplinary team, the role involves:

  • Monitoring patients
  • Administering treatments
  • Assisting with clinical procedures
  • Maintaining accurate documentation
  • Responding to changes in patient condition

The Intensive Care Unit team prides itself on having a strong, supportive culture and strives for high standards of care. The team is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our clients, utilising a range of treatment options such as mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy, advanced haemodynamic monitoring, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.

Details of appointment:

  • Permanent full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
  • Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
  • Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
