Overview

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (528420) and only one position will be filled on merit.

The Team

Medicare Mental Health kids\’ hub program works alongside the CYMHS team providing early intervention to 0-12 age groups in the community/school environment and Early Learning Family centre.

The Role

  • Ensure delivery of comprehensive clinical service to young people between the ages of 0-12 including individual therapy and group work
  • Actively participate in quality activities including evaluation of the program and reporting requirements.

You will need to

  • Contributes to the establishment, operationalization, delivery, and continuing improvement of a contemporary and integrated model of care for a designated specific CYMHS program Medicare Mental Health kids\’ hub, for children, who are experiencing/at risk of mental health difficulties.
  • Provides leadership and contribute to strategic management, clinical decision making and sound clinical governance within the designated CYMHS/MMHkids Hub program Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Acts as a consultant to other health professionals, other Statewide Mental Health Services staff, and Agencies in respect to the assessment and management of CAMHS clients with mental health issues/concerns.

Details of appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 26 June 2026.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$123,717 to $134,336 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

Salary Packaging

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Allowances

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
  • Current Working with Children Registration

*Registration/licenses that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licenses remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/license is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or relevant field.
  • Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Current Drivers Licence
