You will play a key role in building the culture of our new team.**About the role**You will provide operational maintenance, repairs and services to the air conditioning systems, controlled temperature environments, and refrigeration systems installed throughout all Defence buildings, structures, and infrastructure. This role ensures the optimal functionality and operational efficiency of these systems to support Defence operations and personnel.Your key responsibilities will include:* Conducting regular preventative maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and controlled temperature environments.* Diagnosing and repairing faults in HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance and prevent system failures.* Installing new HVAC systems and components as required, ensuring all installations comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.* Monitoring and adjusting system controls to ensure efficient operation and compliance with designated temperature settings.* Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including details of parts used and work performed.* Responding promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime and disruption to operations.* Collaborating with other maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex issues and optimise system performance.* Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.**About you**Our ideal candidate will have:* A current Australian Refrigeration Mechanic Trade qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in HVAC systems maintenance and repair.* Demonstrated experience with chilled water systems and all components including chillers, air handling units and BMS control systems.* Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.* ArcTick Refrigerant Handling Licence.* Restricted or Open Electrical Licence.* Valid driver\'s licence.You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.**How to apply**Please submit your interest with the apply button where you will be directed to create a profile on our system.
