We are hiring multiple Grounds Maintenance Operators to support this contract. These are permanent full-time positions based in Edinburgh.

You will be responsible for performing a wide range of manual and machinery-assisted tasks in physically demanding outdoor environments. This role supports the efficient and safe execution of construction, agricultural, and infrastructure projects by operating plant equipment, performing general labouring duties, and assisting tradespeople and site teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and clearing land for construction, agriculture, or infrastructure projects.
- Operating plant and construction machinery safely and efficiently.
- Loading, transporting, and handling materials and equipment.
- Performing manual labour including digging, lifting, and trenching.
- Supporting tradespeople and crews with general site tasks.
- Conducting equipment checks and report faults or hazards.
- Identifying utility lines and manage soil conditions.
- Setting up and cleaning work areas to maintain site safety.
- Following site plans, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Participating in toolbox talks and contribute to a safe work culture.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to safely operate mowers, blowers, compactors, and other landscaping equipment.
- Capable of lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Assisting with fencing, paving, retaining walls, and irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with OH&S procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively on-site.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Relevant licences, white card and first aid requirements are highly regarded.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
