Principal RF Hardware Engineer Norwich £85,000 per annum Hybrid / On-site Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Principal RF Hardware Engineer to join an established engineering business developing precision RF and electrical calibration equipment.
This is a senior technical role responsible for the design, simulation, validation and lifecycle of RF and mixed-signal hardware, from concept through to production.

Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design of precision RF and mixed-signal hardware.
- Design across DC to 27GHz, with 50GHz+ experience desirable.
- Perform RF simulation, modelling and analysis using tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS or CST.
- Use VNAs, spectrum/phase-noise analysers, signal generators, power meters and TDRs.
- Lead design reviews, verification, risk management and component obsolescence.
- Work closely with manufacturing and test teams on design-for-manufacture and yield.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the engineering team.
- Contribute to future RF technology and product development. The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic, RF or Microwave Engineering.
- 10+ years' hands-on precision RF/mixed-signal hardware experience.
- Proven track record of taking RF products into production.
- Strong knowledge of low phase noise, signal generation, frequency conversion and signal integrity.
- Experience with RF simulation and test equipment.
- Good understanding of metrology and measurement traceability.
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
