We are working with a global technology manufacturer known for precision and quality. Their Norwich site is home to a team of technical specialists supporting high-level calibration and measurement activities. As a Metrology Engineer, you will support accredited calibrations for both new and existing products. You'll work closely with a team of engineers and metrologists to ensure measurement systems deliver accurate, reliable, and consistent results. This role contributes to ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, calibration process improvement, and technical support for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Support accredited calibrations and review measurement system results.
- Develop and perform calibration methods under guidance from senior metrologists.
- Conduct uncertainty analyses and maintain statistical process controls.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.
- Assist with design and improvement of automated test and measurement systems.
- Provide technical support to colleagues and customers.
- Drive continuous improvement of calibration processes and quality systems.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in metrology or calibration within an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory.
- Knowledge of programming for test automation or data analysis (e.g., MET/CAL, C#, VB, Java, Python).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
