Service is recruiting for an Electrical Machinery Fitter to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Fakenham. This is a hands-on role involving the assembly and fault-finding of specialist machinery. The successful candidate will work with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, supporting both new machine builds and ongoing maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble machinery from electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Carry out wiring, soldering, crimping, loom assembly, and panel building
  • Test and service machinery
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
  • Support machine installation and ongoing maintenance activities
  • Work with basic PLC-controlled equipment and assist with fault finding
  • Complete documentation and reports where required

About You

  • Time-served apprentice or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with machine wiring, panel building, and electrical assembly
  • Strong fault-finding skills down to component level
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings
  • Competent using Microsoft Office
