Service is recruiting for an Electrical Machinery Fitter to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Fakenham. This is a hands-on role involving the assembly and fault-finding of specialist machinery. The successful candidate will work with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, supporting both new machine builds and ongoing maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machinery from electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Carry out wiring, soldering, crimping, loom assembly, and panel building
- Test and service machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
- Support machine installation and ongoing maintenance activities
- Work with basic PLC-controlled equipment and assist with fault finding
- Complete documentation and reports where required
About You
- Time-served apprentice or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with machine wiring, panel building, and electrical assembly
- Strong fault-finding skills down to component level
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
