Service Service is recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Droitwich. This is a hands-on role working on the fabrication and welding of heavy-duty equipment and commercial vehicle components. The successful candidate will be able to work from detailed engineering drawings and produce high-quality fabrication work to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG weld and fabricate heavy gauge steel up to 20mm thickness
- Work from engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Operate welding equipment using 1.2mm wire
- Carry out fabrication work to a high standard of quality and accuracy
- Assist with plasma cutting, oxy-acetylene cutting and press brake operations where required
- Ensure work is completed safely and within production deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
About You
- Proven experience in MIG welding and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with heavy fabrication and structural steel
- Previous experience within commercial vehicle manufacturing or a similar engineering environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good time management and organisational skills
