Service is recruiting for a Bids & Proposals Engineer on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation involved in delivering complex technical projects within a highly regulated industry.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the bid and proposal process from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with technical, commercial, and operational teams to deliver accurate and competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Review and manage RFIs and RFQs from initial enquiry through to submission
- Work closely with sales, engineering, commercial, and operations teams to gather technical and commercial information
- Develop detailed and compliant bid documentation, pricing models, and technical responses
- Coordinate bid review meetings and support bid/no bid decision processes
- Maintain CRM systems and support proposal tracking activities
- Participate in customer discussions and negotiations where required
- Ensure proposals comply with company standards, procedures, and ISO requirements
- Previous experience within bids, proposals, estimations, or commercial project support
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
- Experience managing proposals, tenders, or PQQs
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident working across multiple departments and managing deadlines
- Experience using CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office systems
- Engineering or technical background advantageous
