My client, a high-level electronics business based near Norwich airport, is looking for a Temporary Service Calibration/Repair Technician. This role offers solid long-term temporary work.
In this role, you will be responsible for calibration tasks, fault identification, and repairs of sophisticated and complex electronic equipment by using volt meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes whilst following in-depth circuit diagrams.
Primary responsibilities:
- To calibrate equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards
- Diagnose faults and replace components to restore prime operating conditions
- Manage own workflow to ensure customer lead times are met
- As appropriate, train fellow operatives/technicians on processes
- Enter data onto registers
- Prepare calibration certificates for review/approval
Core competencies:
- Quality inspection of fine details
- Prioritisation skills
- Communication skills
- PC literate including MS Office
You must have good electronics or electrical biased experience and be confident in your skills and fault-finding abilities. You will be able to fault find to component level using schematics and test equipment. Working with high voltage equipment would be a huge advantage, but not necessary. Training is provided on the specific products.
