Service Service is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading property and engineering consultancy based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take the lead on the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector developments. The role offers a mix of design, project management and client liaison, with excellent opportunities for professional development and hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion
- Produce drawings, specifications, tender documentation and budget estimates
- Manage contracts and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Promote the use of renewable and energy-efficient technologies
- Carry out site surveys, condition reports and asset inspections where required
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
- Monitor project performance and maintain high technical and quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and mentor junior team members where appropriate
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Membership of CIBSE or working towards Chartered status
- Previous experience managing mechanical building services projects
- Strong understanding of building services design and contract administration
- Experience delivering refurbishment and alteration projects
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry-standard engineering practices
- Full UK driving licence
