Electronics Design Engineer

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join an established engineering business developing specialist electronic systems for marine and offshore applications.
This is a hands-on design role covering electronic circuit design, prototyping, PCB development, testing and troubleshooting. You’ll work closely with other engineers to develop innovative products from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype electronic circuits and systems
- Develop and integrate electronics into larger products
- Support PCB design, simulation and layout
- Produce technical documentation, test specifications and procedures
- Test, troubleshoot and resolve electronic design issues
- Work within ISO 9001 quality processes
- Collaborate with engineers across design and development
- Keep up to date with developments in electronic engineering
About You
- Degree or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of electronic circuit design
- Experience with circuit design, simulation and PCB layout software
- Experience programming MCU and PIC devices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable Experience
- C or C# programming
- DSP or FPGA development
- Analogue and RF circuit design
- Acoustic systems, ideally underwater
- Strong mathematical or physics background
