HGV Technician

£43,000 - £46,000 per annum
Service Service is recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle business in Droitwich.
This is a hands-on workshop role involving the servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles. You’ll work as part of an experienced team, maintaining vehicles to a high standard and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete job cards, service sheets and vehicle records accurately
- Work with the parts department to source required components
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and attend relevant training
About You
- Previous experience working as an HGV or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Technical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ, or equivalent practical experience
- Commercial vehicle workshop experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- HGV or PSV licence would be advantageous but is not essential
- Good customer service and communication skills
What's on Offer
- £43,000 - £46,000 per annum
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Saturdays when required
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate
