Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Oxford, with flexibility for some remote work. The Metrology Engineer will be responsible for performing calibrations, ensuring measurement accuracy, analyzing results, and troubleshooting complex metrology challenges. The role includes applying principles of physics and optics to improve processes and supporting decision‑making metrology for clients. Additionally, the Metrology Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Calibration and hands‑on experience in managing and maintaining precise measurement systems.
  • Strong Analytical Skills for problem‑solving, data interpretation, and ensuring accuracy in measurements and solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Metrology principles and practices, including industry standards and processes.
  • Background in Physics, with a strong understanding of scientific concepts relevant to measurement and testing.
  • Expertise in Optics and the ability to apply optical principles to metrology tasks and projects.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in metrology or a related field is advantageous but not required.
