Overview
Reports to: Area Manager
Location: Field Based – within a designated territory
Contract: Fixed term – 8 weeks (November and December)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (excluding lunch break)
Pay: £105 per day, plus performance bonus (subject to visit completion & KPI achievement, bonus payable at the end of the contract)
About the role
We’re looking for enthusiastic and professional Brand Ambassadors to join our team on behalf of client during the busy Christmas trading period. As a Brand Ambassador, you’ll represent one of the world’s leading financial services companies, visiting retail stores and merchant locations across your territory to promote our clients\’ products, support merchants, and ensure brand visibility.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll build positive relationships, ensure brand standards are met, and help drive awareness and engagement at a critical time of year.
Objectives
- Working across a defined territory across multiple retailer environments
- Conduct the agreed number of visits per day as planned, adapting as needed in line with business requirements and merchant opening hours.
- Taking ownership, and delivery of personal performance against key KPIs set by clients, aligning with targets for successful visits, incremental marketing collateral (POP) and terminal tests.
Main Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with in-store teams and merchant staff to support American Express objectives.
- Promote the key benefits of American Express to merchants and ensure payment terminals are correctly set up.
- Ensure all point-of-sale and marketing materials are correctly placed and maintained for maximum visibility.
- Communicate visit objectives clearly, review outcomes, and agree future actions with store contacts.
- Identify and resolve issues such as stock of POS materials or visibility gaps.
- Work to client-set KPIs including visit completion, campaign compliance, and brand visibility.
- Accurately capture data and complete reporting in real time via company systems.
- Adapt quickly to short-term activity requirements and deliver results positively and proactively.
- Attend online team meetings, briefings, and occasional field accompaniments as required.
Territory
- Manage a pre-planned fortnightly call file with set calls and flexible, changing borders dependent on coverage requirements.
- Additional visits will be added as required in accordance with working hours and reasonable travel distances.
- Work independently, managing your workload with Area Manager oversight.
Reporting
- Provide real-time reporting via the Celero reporting tool.
- Reporting and data capture accuracy is essential.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines
Essential & Desirable Skills
Essential:
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for the working hours stated
- Comfortable using technology (mobile apps/CRM tools / email / internet).
- Professional appearance with a customer-focused attitude.
- Use of an Apple or Android phone
Desirable:
- Previous brand ambassador, field marketing, or merchandising experience.
- Experience engaging with retailers or small business owners.
Key Performance Indicators
KPIs will be shared and reviewed regularly.
