Our Christchurch Prepared Produce Division is looking for enthusiastic team members to join us at Woolston. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in a team environment and enjoy hands-on work with fresh food. These additional roles have opened as we enter peak season and onboard major new customers, resulting in high production volumes—including tasks like potato peeling and other fresh produce preparation.
Position Snapshot
- Location: Cumnor Terrace, Woolston
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract Type: Permanent, full time
- Hours: Sunday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (6 days per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning, washing, and processing fresh produce
- Grading, cutting, dicing, and peeling vegetables and fruits
- Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients
- Inspecting product quality before packaging
- Operating machinery for peeling, coring, slicing, and dicing
- Vacuum packaging and labelling
- Cleaning equipment and work areas
- Adhering to strict food safety and health & safety protocols
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in fresh produce, warehousing, or food processing
- Comfortable working in cold environments
- Physically fit with good knife-handling skills
- Previous chef experience beneficial
- Intermediate literacy and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of food ingredients and fresh produce
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Flexible with working hours
- Reliable transport and commitment to scheduled shifts
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
