The predicted salary is between 39000 - 65000 £ per year.
Standard hours for this position are 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday as well as a rotating on-call schedule (typically one week out of every five). We also offer competitive overtime rates for planned out-of-hours maintenance activities.
We\’re looking for a Network Support Engineer to join our growing Bedford team. This is more than a technical role – it\’s an opportunity to make an impact on our customers, support your colleagues, and develop your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You\’ll help keep critical systems up and running for our customers, solve complex network and security issues, and ensure service delivery is nothing short of excellent. You\’ll also play a key part in shaping how we deliver our managed services by bringing your ideas and confidence to every challenge.
What You\’ll Do:
- Provide 2nd & 3rd level support for customer networks and security systems as part of managed service contracts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, including those raised by customers and internal teams.
- Support and advise sales and service teams in delivering contracted services and designing effective solutions.
- Own tasks from start to finish – planning, testing, and implementing changes.
- Collaborate with vendors (Cisco, Checkpoint, FortiGate, F5) to resolve escalations and maintain service levels.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging growth.
- Contribute to documentation, designs, and customer meetings with clear and confident communication.

What We\’re Looking For:
- Network Engineer with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Cisco CCNA (or higher), Checkpoint CCSA, F5, or equivalent certifications
- Background supporting WAN/LAN networks, firewalls, and security appliances (such as Cisco, Checkpoint, and/or FortiGate)
- Familiarity with network management and diagnostic tools
- Ability to plan, document, test, and implement changes independently
- Willingness to work flexibly, including participating in on-call rotation and planned out-of-hours changes
