The Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer with at least 3 years' commercial experience to join our in-house development team in Brentwood, Essex. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing PHP/Laravel backend systems and frontends, working across the full software development lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' commercial development experience
- Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
- Frontend development experience using JavaScript
- Solid experience working with MySQL databases
- Experience developing and maintaining production web applications
- Ability to work effectively in an office-based development team
Desirable Skills (Highly Advantageous)
- UI/UX experience, with an understanding of usability and user-centred design
- Building or maintaining Progressive Web Applications (PWAs)
- Migrating or modernising legacy systems
- Using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. AI coding assistants, productivity tooling, "vibe coding")
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
