UV Adults Social Worker Level 3 – Contract Opportunity
Are you a dedicated and passionate UV Adults Social Worker Level 3 looking for a challenging short-term contract? We are actively recruiting for a skilled professional to join the Upper Valley & North Halifax Localities Team on a two-week contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker to make a tangible difference in adults’ lives while enhancing their professional expertise in adult social care.
Position Overview:
The UV Adults Social Worker Level 3 will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social care services within the locality team. Working full-time (37 hours per week), the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assessments, safeguarding, and legal work related to adult care. The role is central to supporting adults over 18 with physical disabilities and older adults over 65, working collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals to uphold human rights and ensure safety.
Candidate Responsibilities:
As a UV Adults Social Worker Level 3 , your duties will include:
- Completing strength-based Care Act assessments and reviews
- Conducting safeguarding enquiries and investigations
- Completing Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and making best interest decisions
- Participating in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and working alongside other professionals
- Attending ICB reviews and completing CHC checklists and DST
- Undertaking S117 reviews and working with legal and Court of Protection (COP) processes
- Providing support on office cover rota, including screening tasks
- Undertaking any other tasks required by managers to ensure service excellence
