Electrician - our client (Contract)

About the Role - Electrician in our client
The successful Electrician will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and repair work within social housing and other managed properties. You will ensure work is compliant with current electrical regulations and health and safety legislation, delivering a safe and reliable service. You will work closely with colleagues and other trades to meet targets efficiently, supporting the management of materials and completing accurate documentation for all work undertaken.
Candidate Responsibilities - Electrician
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair work in social housing and managed properties
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical standards, regulations, and safety legislation
- Maintain detailed records of electrical testing and job documentation
- Manage materials and stock to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Deliver high‑quality services within set deadlines and performance standards
- Coordinate with other trades, contractors, and team members
- Identify service improvements and elevate issues affecting maintenance delivery
- Participate in standby and call‑out rota for emergency breakdowns
Candidate Requirements - Electrician
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation
- City & Guilds 2382 and 2394, as applicable
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification
- Extensive post‑qualification experience in the electrical trade
- Social housing maintenance experience preferred
- Good understanding of current electrical and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- Full valid driving licence

The pay rate is £19.67 per hour PAYE or £25.74 per hour Umbrella, with a contract length of 2 weeks and a 37‑hour workweek.
