Our client is seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join our expanding Court team in Edinburgh. About the Role – The Solicitor we’re seeking
As a Solicitor at our client, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of civil litigation and contentious private client cases. Your proactive approach and excellent client care skills will be vital to delivering high-quality legal services. The role involves liaising with clients, counsel, and other professionals, alongside court appearances and litigation processes. This is an ideal position for a solicitor up to 10 years PQE, eager to deepen their expertise in civil and private client law. In this role, you will:
- Manage and progress cases independently, ensuring timely and accurate advice
- Deal confidently with court actions, appearances, and client meetings
- Provide clear legal advice and build strong client relationships
- Contribute to the growth of our civil litigation/ contentious private client practice
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics in line with Scottish law
Candidate Responsibilities – Key skills and attributes
- Experience in civil litigation, preferably including contentious private client work
- Strong working knowledge of Scottish law
- Confidence in court proceedings and client-facing roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own caseload
- Computer literacy with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and case management systems
- A driving license is preferred
