About the Role: Social Worker - Mental Health Team
As a Social Worker - mental health team , you will play a pivotal role in supporting adults with mental health difficulties. Working within our client innovative community transformation, you will deliver person-centred, strengths-based social care that aligns with legislative frameworks such as the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health Act 1983, and the MCA 2005. Your work will promote social justice, equality, and human rights, helping individuals reach their full potential through holistic, community-oriented approaches.
This contract role, lasting two weeks initially, offers hybrid working arrangements, with full-time (36.25 hours per week) or part-time hours available. The role requires you to drive, supporting mobile service delivery across our client.
Candidate Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of individuals with severe mental health needs, providing holistic and person-centred support.
- Work in partnership with service users, their families, and social networks to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Implement statutory duties under the Care Act 2014 and other applicable legislation.
- Support risk enablement and positive risk-taking to empower service users.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending our client Adult Social Care Forum and other professional development opportunities.
- Maintain professional identity through supervision and continual learning.
- Uphold social work values, ethics, and human rights principles in all interactions.
