Technical Lead – Renewable Technologies £52,471 per annum | Permanent | Kent
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Technical Lead – Renewable Technologies to join a housing organisation in Kent. The successful candidate will provide specialist technical support across renewable and low-carbon technologies, with a particular focus on Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP). The role will combine hands-on fault finding and diagnostics with technical leadership, contractor oversight, developing standards and supporting the upskilling of repairs teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise across ASHP and low-carbon heating systems
- Diagnose complex faults and recurring system issues
- Support repairs teams, contractors and managers with technical advice
- Monitor installation quality and technical performance
- Develop technical standards, procedures and best practice
- Provide coaching, training and technical guidance to trade teams
- Support Asset Management and Development with low-carbon heating strategy
The Candidate:
- Significant experience with Air Source Heat Pumps / low-carbon heating
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience across heating, controls and hydronic systems
- Experience servicing and maintaining heat pump systems
- Experience coaching, mentoring or training technical teams
- Knowledge of housing standards and landlord compliance
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing, Heating, HVAC or Building Services
- BPEC or equivalent Heat Pump qualification
- F-Gas certification
- Unvented Hot Water qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
Details:
- £52,471 per annum
- Permanent
- 42 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm
- Based across Kent
- Basic DBS required
