About the Role: Senior Social Worker - Mental Health
The Senior Social Worker - Mental Health will play a vital role within our client Adult Social Care Mental Health Service, supporting adults with mental health needs across the city. Working collaboratively with health colleagues, housing providers, voluntary organizations, and wider partners, you will champion strengths-based and preventative approaches. The role involves developing new pathways and strategies that enhance outcomes for our client residents and reinforce the essential role of social work within mental health services.
Candidate Responsibilities - Senior Social Worker - Mental Health
- Providing expert social work assessment and support to adults with mental health needs
- Developing and implementing personalized care plans aligned with statutory and voluntary sector standards
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, recovery-oriented services
- Leading on complex case management and advocating on behalf of service users
- Contributing to service development initiatives and pathway improvements
- Ensuring compliance with social work regulations and maintaining registration with Social Work England
Candidate Requirements - Senior Social Worker - Mental Health
- A valid Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- At least 3 years’ experience in mental health or adult social care
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred practice
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
