We are working with a fantastic residential childcare provider who is looking to recruit a Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join their team at a children's residential home in the NG20 area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, supporting colleagues and helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes. The Role
As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day running of the home.
- Providing high-quality care, guidance and emotional support to children and young people.
- Leading by example and promoting excellent standards of residential childcare.
- Supporting and guiding colleagues within the team.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Helping to maintain a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
- Supporting young people with their individual care plans, routines and personal development.
- Promoting safeguarding, positive behaviour and the wellbeing of every young person.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and quality of the service.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of one year’s experience working within residential childcare is essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- The confidence and ability to lead by example.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable, responsible and proactive approach.
- A clear DBS is essential.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred, although applicants living locally with reliable transport will also be considered.
