Care Navigator Job Overview
As a Care Navigator , you will play a crucial role in connecting patients with GPs and healthcare professionals, ensuring they receive the support and access to services they need. The role involves collaborating with medical teams, supporting administrative tasks, and enhancing patient experience through effective navigation and communication. This contract role offers flexible hours—part-time or full-time and a competitive pay rate of £17 per hour (Ltd).
Candidate Responsibilities
- Supporting GP practices and our client Care Hubs with administrative duties
- Handling patient enquiries with professionalism and compassion
- Assisting patients in navigating healthcare services and procedures
- Maintaining accurate patient records using the EMIS clinical system (desirable experience)
- Providing information and guidance to patients about healthcare options
- Working closely with GPs and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care and smooth operations
- Supporting day-to-day administrative functions to improve patient flow and service delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Care Navigator or Receptionist role in a primary care setting
- Knowledge of EMIS (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- A patient-focused approach with professionalism in handling enquiries
- Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
