  • Experience working with children aged 0–5 and/or families
  • An understanding of early years development and school readiness
  • Experience delivering activities, interventions or support to children and parents/carers
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality and improving outcomes for children

You’ll also need to be comfortable working at children's level — including sitting, bending and kneeling during play-based activities.

Why this role?

This isn't simply about delivering activities. You’ll have the opportunity to build genuine relationships with children and parents, identify where families need additional support and help give young children the strongest possible start before they enter school.
