Plasterer Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out plastering repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties
- Completing patch plastering, skimming, bonding, and full wall and ceiling plastering
- Undertaking plasterboard repairs, replacements, and general making-good works
- Reinstating plastering after damp, mould, leaks, or other repairs
- Preparing walls, ceilings, and surfaces before applying plaster finishes
- Identifying damaged plasterwork and determining suitable repair methods
- Managing your own workload independently and efficiently
- Accurately updating job records using handheld devices
- Communicating professionally with residents during work
Candidate Responsibilities & Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Plastering, City & Guilds, or equivalent trade qualification
- Proven experience in domestic plastering repairs and maintenance
- Experience working within social housing or property maintenance (desirable)
- Competence in patch plastering, skimming, plasterboarding, and reinstatement works
- Ability to work independently, managing daily tasks effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to pass a Basic DBS check
