About the Role - Experienced Social Worker - Children with Disabilities
As an Experienced Social Worker - Children with Disabilities , your primary responsibility will be to assess and support children with disabilities and their families, developing bespoke packages of support to assist them in achieving positive outcomes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and families, ensuring each child's voice is heard and their needs are met with professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities of the Experienced Social Worker - Children with Disabilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of disabled children and young people
- Develop and review tailored care and support plans
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and ongoing support to families
- Work collaboratively with education, health, and statutory services
- Maintain detailed, accurate case records in accordance with statutory requirements
- Promote relationship-based and strengths-based approaches in all interactions
- Manage a varied caseload within the framework of statutory children's services
- Participate in reflective supervision and continuous professional development sessions
Candidate Requirements for the Experienced Social Worker - Children with Disabilities
- A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Proven experience working with children with disabilities (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to assess needs accurately and develop effective support plans
- Motivated, reflective, and eager to develop your skills further
- Committed to achieving positive, lasting outcomes for children and families
