About the Multi Trade Operative Role
As a Multi Trade Operative , you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing social housing properties across South London. Your expertise will ensure residents' homes are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and offers a competitive pay rate of £22.51 per hour . The contract duration is initially for 2 weeks, with potential for ongoing opportunities.
Responsibilities of the Multi Trade Operative
- Executing responsive repairs and planned maintenance works efficiently
- Completing multi-trade repairs within occupied and void properties
- Carrying out basic carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, painting, and making-good works
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard
- Communicating professionally with tenants, supervisors, and colleagues
- Ensuring all work aligns with health and safety standards
- Maintaining accurate job records and ensuring a clean, safe working environment
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in social housing, repairs, or maintenance as a Multi Trade Operative
- Strong skills across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and decorating
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A full UK driving license (preferred)
