Job Overview:
As a Family Court Adviser: A15a, you will be responsible for providing expert social care assessments, supporting court proceedings, and ensuring the best interests of children and families. This is a contract role with a duration of 2 weeks, offering a flexible working arrangement with only 1 day required in the office each week. The remainder of the time will involve visiting families on-site and attending court sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and family situations
- Attend court hearings and prepare detailed reports to inform judicial decisions
- Visit families in their homes and community settings regularly
- Collaborate with legal professionals, social services, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and findings
- Support the Court with expert social care advice and recommendations
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with appropriate registration and experience
- Proven background in court-referred social work or family assessments
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to visit families in different settings
- Availability for a 2-week contract with immediate start
